The engine was a 425ftlb Gen2 Coyote sealed crate engine making a low 10sec pass @ 3100lbs. Note that how fast the clutch pulls the engine down has a huge effect on the height of the torque spike.

The M21/M22 are both close ratio transmissions. The M22s just have a gear set that have less of an angle on the gears. The gear teeth are also thicker. If street driving is your primary goal an M20, along with a 3.31 feared rear makes for a pretty nice combo.

The graph will look more "even" like the M22 with the M22W gear set instead of the M20. The M22W ratios are not the same as the M20. The 2.20 first gear is going to be harder on the clutch than a deeper first. If this was just a street car, the standard M22 and 4.10 combo would work great.
Might want to look into the aftermarket ones transmissions...Better/Stronger cases, a few nice upgrades, and I've see new M22's selling for less than rebuilt, used units.

If you purchased a 69 or earlier M22 it will be a direct swap. If you got a 70 or later M22 then the output shaft splines are different and you will need to replace the cluth plate and front yoke on your driveshaft or your entire driveshaft. 70 and later M22's use a 26 sline input shaft vs. a 10 spline 69 and earlier.
